Overview

A body built for just one thing. Everything about Solstice is dedicated to audio production starting with an all aluminum chassis designed to let air flow freely around the internal components and then dissipate naturally through the body.

Perfectly balanced. Solstice's Quiet Cool system design ensures the smooth flow of data through the complete system. The power to record, edit, mix and burn without bottlenecks, audio drop-outs or distortion.

Plug it all in. Solstice is configured for digital audio with two separate FireWire chipsets for maximum compatibility with your audio hardware. Also included, 6 USB 2.0 ports, eSATA and multiple PCI/PCI Express connections for total expandability.

Compatible. Rain digital audio workstations are tested and certified for total compatibility with all industry-standard audio production software like Pro Tools, Cubase and SONAR.

Free Integration. Purchase any audio software or hardware with your Solstice and we'll install it, set it up, and test it for you - free of charge. All you have to do is plug & play.

True Digital Audio Support. Solstice includes RainCare, a world-class support system for your Rain computer. Add RainCare Encompass Total Integration Support and you've got resource for help with your complete digital audio solution.

Hardware

AMD in 3 or 4 cores. Configure your Solstice with the new generation of high-power, high-efficiency Triple and Quad Core processors from AMD. Direct Connect architecture eliminates the bottleneck between your memory and processor for lower latency and less heat.

FireWire. Solstice ships standard with 5 FireWire ports using two separate chipsets. This provides maximum compatbility with any audio interface and ensures the best bandwidth between your computer and external hardware. Built in redundancy means you're covered in every situation.

Advanced memory. Get the most from your plug-ins and synths with up to 8GB of DDR2, low latency memory designed to keep data flowing smoothly through your system with an amazingly low heat signature.

High performance storage. Designed and tested for audio production, the drives in Solstice are engineered for high levels of sustained throughput. A 32MB cache in each drive keeps flowing smoothly.

Take control. Solstice includes an full-size, aluminum Rain keyboard and Microsoft optical USB mouse. Plug it in and start creating right out of the box.

Connect 4 Displays. Solstice Quad Core ships standard with dual graphics processors inviting you to spread your music out by connecting 4 analog and digital displays at once.
