StormDrive by Rain is designed to give you lightning fast data transfer for audio + video streaming. Under the hood, a high performance
hard disk is shockmounted inside the all aluminum chassis allowing heat to dissipate naturally. That means no fan - and
that means no excess noise. The drive itself is specifically engineered to meet the demands of multi media production employing
an industry leading 32MB Cache to help prevent data bottlenecks that lead to glitches and audio drop-out. StormDrive is also
completely modular so you can link multiple drives and extend your storage.
Plug in to anything (anywhere)
The new StormDrive features an array of high-speed connections giving you the option to plug in to the closest computer via FireWire,
USB 2.0, or eSATA. An onboard controller chipset manages the flow of data between StormDrive and your computer to help maintain
a smooth file transfer up to an incredible 3GB/s. The extra speed makes StormDrive perfect for direct-to-drive recording and editing
even if the computer you're plugged into can't handle the job. Or just use StormDrive to cut down on the time it takes to make backups
and duplicates of your large audio and video project files.
